Welcome to Svemus, the Swedish Mouse Club!

About us
Svemus is the only nationwide non-profit organisation in Sweden that works for and with fancy/pet mice and mice owners. Svemus was founded in 1987 as a subgroup to the Swedish Rat Society, and the club became independent in 1990. Our main goals are

• To promote and sustain the interest for mice as pets
• Inform about care, behaviour, disease et.c.
• Arrange shows and member gatherings
• Inform av encourage good animal care and serious breeding

Shows are arranged several times a year in Pet Class and Standard Class. We also arrage member meetings and sometimes educational gatherings in diffrent locations all over the country. The organisation has about ten registered breeders who register their mice and write pedigree. Svemus has requrements for breeders to take good care fo their mice, practice serious breeding and sales.

Membership
As a member you recieve the club paper "Husmusen" four times per year. The paper is in Swedish. You also get a club pin and the right to vote and advertise for free in "Husmusen". Membership also allows you to register your mice with Svemus and show them in Standard Class. Pet Class shows are also open to non-members.

To become a member, deposit the membership fee to PG nr 435 31 02 - 9. We need your name, address, phone-number and birthyear. The reason we have to charge extra for residents outside of Sweden is to cover for higher postage et.c.
